Who do I contact?
The New York State Retirement System can be contacted
by calling 1-866-805-0990 or going to their website at www.osc.state.ny.us/retire.
Forms are available in the Comptroller’s Office.

3. How can I change the amount I contribute to my New York State Deferred
Compensation Plan account?
You may increase, decrease or suspend your contributions by calling the
HELPLINE at 1-800-422-8463 or through the “my account” section of the plan’s website at www.nysdcp.com. In addition, you must always contact the Comptroller’s
Office with any deferral changes so the payroll can be adjusted.

4. How do I get a list of civil service exams currently offered by Westchester
County?
All currently offered Civil Service exams are listed on the county’s website at www.westchestergov.com. If you’d like to take an exam, the forms needed are available in the Comptroller’s Office. (LINK TO FORM PDF)

5. I need to find a doctor that accepts our POMCO health insurance plan.
Is a book of providers available?
No, all POMCO providers are listed on
their website at www.pomcoplus.com. If you need further information about
your POMCO benefits you may contact them at 1-800-234-4493.

6. Does the Town offer Direct Deposit for my payroll check?
Yes, and we encourage all employees to use Direct Deposit. It is an efficient
and simple way to have your pay deposited directly into your checking
or savings account wherever you bank. The form is available in the Comptroller’s

7. I am a retiree of the Town and pay for a portion of my health benefits.
When is that payment due to the Town?
The retiree’s portion of their health benefits is due one month in advance
by the 15th of the month. In November, you will receive a statement telling you
the full premium due for your health benefits coverage for the next year. By
December 15 the January payment for the new year is due. You will not receive
monthly billing from us. It is your responsibility to pay one month in advance
each month. Of course, if you prefer you may pay quarterly, two months at a time
or even the whole premium in one payment at the beginning of the year.

8. I would like to change my number of allowances, How do
I change my Federal and State withholding taxes?
The forms W-4 for Federal and IT-2104 for State must be filled out, signed
and submitted to the Comptroller’s Office in order for the changes to be made
to your payroll records. The forms are available in the Comptroller’s Office
or at the websites www.irs.gov and www.tax.state.ny.us/Forms.

9. What is the flexible spending unreimbursed medical program and how
do I sign up?
The program allows employees to set aside a portion of their income to
pay for certain expenses for themselves and their dependents not covered
by their employee benefit plan on a pre-tax basis. The enrollment form
and the request for reimbursement form are available in the Comptroller’s
