Lake Isle is a Town-owned facility that is open to all residents and a limited
number of non-residents. Town residents are defined as those people whose permanent
and primary domicile is located within Eastchester, Bronxville, or Tuckahoe.
Having a mailing address in the Town does not constitute residency. Lake Isle's
facilities include a swimming pool complex with five pools: one for adults
(age 18+), two kiddie pools, an Olympic pool, and a diving tank. Lake Isle
also has eight Har-Tru tennis courts, and a par 70, 18-hole championship golf
course. All are welcome to visit the facilities at any time.
Fees for non-residents are higher than for residents. Town residents with
limited income, discounted rates are available.
Eating facilities at Lake Isle
Lake Isle has fast food concession areas as well as waitered luncheon services
during the summer season. You are welcome to bring your own food as well.
All food and beverages can only be consumed in designated eating areas. The
Snack Bar (tenth tee) is open Friday through Sunday in April and seven days
a week from May to September. The Snack Bar serves hot dogs, hamburgers, salads,
pizza, assorted sandwiches, soft drinks, beer, juices, coffee, fresh danish,
ice cream, and candy. The Terrace Cafe (outdoor terrace) is open Saturdays & Sundays in
June and Wednesday through Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. during July
and August. The Terrace Cafe serves summer salads, fresh soups, pasta, seafood
dishes, steaks and desserts. Finally, the Terrace Bar is open Saturdays and
Sundays 12:00pm to 5:00pm in June, and seven days a week from 12:00 p.m. to
7:00 p.m. during July and August and serves alcoholic beverages including international
beers and wine. The
Terrace Bar also has three televisions for your sports viewing.

Lake Isle is located in the Town of Eastchester, in
lower Westchester County. It is accessible via the Bronx River, Hutchinson,
Cross County, and several other major parkways. For more information

GENERAL INFORMATION
The Town of Eastchester's Lake Isle is a town owned recreational facility
situated on White Plains Road in the heart of Eastchester. The Town purchased
the 116 acre former private club site in 1979. Additional pools and tennis
courts were added prior to opening.The newly created public recreational facility
was planned and continues to operate on a financially self-sustaining basis.
Attractive and affordable golfing,swimming, and tennis are available on a seasonal
basis. In addition, Lake Isle provides a host of other recreational activities,
special events and instructional opportunities for all to enjoy. Both snack
bar and more elegant terrace luncheon services overlooking the main pool complex

GOLF
Lake Isle offers you a challenging 18-hole championship golf course
and nearly year round play. A fleet of over 70 power golf carts is in
readiness. Our capable P.G.A. Golf Pro/Director oversees golfing activities.
Both Pro and staff are available to answer your golf related questions.
Expert individual and group instruction is available. The finest in golfing
equipment and apparel, as well as golf club cleaning, repair, and storage
are offered at the Lake Isle Golf Shop. For those who enjoy serious or
purely fun filled golfing competition, Lake Isle Golf offers a host of
tournaments such as the: Opening Day Scramble, Oldsmobile Scramble, " Meatball" Open, " Beat
the Pro ", and others to determine Lake Isle champions. Other attractions
include an introductory "get acquainted" Golf Night every spring and
Awards Night in the fall. Golfing program related questions can be directed

| SWIMMING The Lake Isle pool complex consists of five beautiful pools: an Olympic
pool, diving tank, two kiddie pools, and a separate adult pool (for ages
18 and over). Water activities include water basketball, and water aerobics.
Ping pong, air hockey, fooseball, and other games are available for your
enjoyment. Play equipment for younger children is conveniently situated
in the giant sand-box at the kiddie pools. The adult pool area offers
a relaxing atmosphere where one can read or just "take a snooze " in
the summer sun. A designated area adjacent to the snack bar is
available for card playing and board games. Lake Isle offers swimming
and diving team participation. In addition, swimming instruction and
other aquatic learning programs are available. The pool season commences
Memorial Day weekend and continues through Labor Day. |

TENNIS Another popular sport at Lake Isle is tennis. Eight Har-Tru courts are
available from mid-April to late-October. Our Tennis Pro/Director is
available for both private and group instruction for all ages and levels
of skill. "Round Robins" are generally held during the beginning of the
season to help tennis players become acquainted and meet suitable partners
for the playing season. For those tennis players who are interested in
organized competitive play, there are various tournaments and team activities.
In the Lake Isle Tennis Pro Shop, we provide a variety of services, the
finest in tennis equipment and racquet repair, and racquets for demonstration.

FAMILY FUN ACTIVITIES Lake Isle provides activities and entertainment for everyone's enjoyment.
The program includes events such as the special Fourth of July Celebration,
a Family Fun Day in late July which includes events such as: family-oriented
water races, and kiddie pool dive for treasure, and cartoon characters.
Also included are artistic painting classes, several family entertainment
nights, teen pool parties, and much more. Special off-site day trips
have been recently added to enhance the season's pleasure. |
