This is the page where you will find all of the available information for Eastchester Recreation's Summer Camps.

Please note- you CAN NOT pick your camper up from any trip or from LAKE ISLE. If you need to pick your camper up early from Camp, it will need to be at the Camp Office. Please send a note in with your camper if you need to pick them up early, so the staff is aware and can be prepared.

Please note you CAN NOT pick your camper up at Lake Isle. If a camper is to leave camp early they MUST be picked up at the Camp Office- NO EXCEPTIONS.

Any interested in working for the Town of Eastchester in Summer 2019 for one of the Camps, you will need to apply using the below application. If you are a returning employing or a new employee you will need to fill out the application. All applications must be mailed in or submitted in person to the Eastchester Recreation Department at 40 Mill Road Room 227, Eastchester:

Available Positions for Summer 2019
Lifeguard- The Eastchester Recreation Department hires between 10-12 lifeguards for the Camp Season. As a lifeguard for the Summer Camp you work at Lake Isle Country Club when the camps are at the pool. Camp Quest also has trips to locations with water, so some guards will go on trips with Camp Quest (when needed) Applicants must be at least 16 years old and have a valid Lifguarding and CPR/AED certification.
Counselor- We are looking for counselors for all of our camps, full-day, half-day and travel camp. Counselors in our full-day and half-day camps must be 16 years old to apply. To work in our travel camp, you must have completed at least one year of college and have some experience working with children preferably in a camp setting. Counselors who work at our full-day camps are expected to go in the water with their campers at Lake Isle Country Club.
Specialist- We are always looking for employees who specialize in a certain area. Our traditional specialist are: Sports, Arts, Crafts, Jewelry & Dance. We are looking for staff who specialize in Nature, a specific medium of art, acting, singing and technology. Please indicate on your application your specialty. Must be at least 16 years old to apply for a Specialist position.
Counselor- in- Training- CIT- Counselors- in- Training is a volunteer (unpaid) position for residents who are turning 15 by July 1st. CITs will be placed in a group with other counselors or in a Specialty and help with the daily activities of the camp. Applications to be a CIT must be submitted by May 15th and a meeting will be held in late May/early June for all those who have applied. Please use the above application and indicate that you are interested in a CIT position by putting "CIT" on the top right corner of the application. After May 15th applications for CIT will no longer be accepted.
