The Eastchester Auxiliary Police were originally
formed by the Westchester County Office of Civil Defense, which was directed
by the U.S. Secretary of Defense on April 4th 1964. Like many Auxiliary
Police Departments throughout the county the Eastchester Auxiliary Police
has developed into more of a Policing Agency than a Civil Defense agency,
although we do maintain both functions.

POLICE CADETS
In addition to our Auxiliary Police Officers there is also a Police Cadet
Program.
This program was founded by our past Director, retired Eastchester Police
Department. Det. David DiRubba.
The Cadets are between the ages of 15 - 20. They are uniformed and trained
in the same aspects of public safety as our Auxiliary Police Officers.
The Cadets also play a large part in aiding with parade details and other
functions throughout the year.
The mission for our cadets is to teach discipline, enjoy the challenge and
excitement offered by law enforcement and provide a worthwhile community
service.
If you have questions about the Eastchester Auxiliary Police or Cadet Program
please call (914) 771-3371.
We are also in the process of a recruitment drive for the cadet program. If
you are between the ages of 15-20 and would like to serve your community
while getting law enforcement knowledge our cadet program is for you!
DONATIONS/CONTRIBUTIONS
It is necessary that we maintain our high level of service to best serve
the police department and our community. As volunteers and with a limited
budget, we need your support. therefore, we welcome any donations payable
