Ms. Brescia: Calls meeting to order.

Ms. Brescia: Introduces new Board

5 member, Fernando Papale. Asks if there are any

comments regarding the June minutes.

Ms. Raffiani: Reviews changes.

Ms. Uhle: Explains changes will be noted

8 on the correction sheet and attached to the

June transcript.

Ms. Brescia: Makes a motion to accept

10 the minutes with the changes suggested by Ms.

Raffiani.

Ms. Raffiani: Seconds motion.

Ms. Uhle: States Mr. McIntyre is running

Sign Company: Explains sign is hand

23 carved with gold leaf lettering inch and a half

thick with a border in twenty-four carat gold.

24 States hardware will not be seen at all.

Explains they usually use rosettes to hide

25 hardware.

Ms. Brescia: Asks size of rosettes.

Sign Company: States two and a quarter

4 by two and a quarter inches.

5 Ms. Raffiani: Feels they will not be

noticeable.

Sign Company: States sign all conforms.

7 States owner would prefer blue sign.

8 Ms. Raffiani: Feels it will improve the

area. Asks if Cuts "R" Us name was registered.

Sign Company: States he believes

10 certificate from county shows Cuts "R" Us on

it.

Ms. Raffiani: Explains old sign needs to

12 come down and new sign should not be mounted

the same way.

Sign Company: Explains new sign will be

14 flat against the wall.

15 Ms. Raffiani: Asks if there is an

outline of the brick that sticks out.

Sign Company: States that's a projection

17 out.

18 Ms. Raffiani: Asks if sign could be

centered in that area.

Sign Company: States yes.

Ms. Brescia: Makes a motion to approve

21 Application 06-78 as presented with the sign

shown in the photograph which should be placed

22 within the area of the building that's set up

for the sign with the blue color.

Ms. Uhle: Asks that brick be cleaned

24 before the sign is put up.

25 Ms. Bonasia: Seconds motion.

Sign Company: Explains applicant wants

6 an awning with no sides. States applicant's

first preference is chocolate brown with orange

7 letters. Discusses logo. States applicant

prefers logo on top. Explains some of the teas

8 have just the logo on it.

9 Ms. Brescia: Asks if you see the arm of

the awning.

Sign Company: Explains you will see one

11 pipe coming forward. Explains applicant had a

concern if she put sides her neighbor's sign

12 will not be readable.

13 Ms. Uhle: Explains the address of the

nail salon is on the side of their sign.

Ms. Brescia: Feels you will still be

15 able to see it. States sides should be covered

and not have the arm showing.

Sign Company: States light box is being

17 removed.

18 Ms. Brescia: Asks if brick underneath is

in bad shape.

Sign Company: States he couldn't see too

20 much underneath.

21 Ms. Brescia: Feels awning should be the

same height as the other awnings.

Ms. Bonasia: Feels this is very nice.

Ms. Raffiani: Likes how it fits within

24 the building because it's the center of the

building.

Ms. Bonasia: Makes a motion to approve

2 Application 06-79 in the chocolate brown color

with the little flower closer to the sign name

3 on top centered without the text.

4 Ms. Uhle: States Tea Blossom will be on

the valance, the logo on the roof and will be

5 aligned with the nail salon awning.

6 Ms. Brescia: Seconds motion.

11 Ms. Raffiani: Discusses dimensions of

frontage.

Ms. Brescia: Asks that they check the

13 seventeen foot dimension.

14 Sign Company: States they will keep it

seventy-five percent or less. Explains right

15 now they are not doing the awning but would

like to get approved for it.

Ms. Raffiani: Asks if the color green

17 will match the awning.

18 Sign Company: States yes.

19 Ms. Raffiani: Asks if there is red in

the lettering.

Sign Company: States no red, solid gold

21 leaf.

22 Ms. Uhle: Discusses proposed awning.

States projection is indicated as five feet on

23 the drawing submitted.

24 Sign Company: States it's four feet.

25 Ms. Uhle: Explains awning has to be at

least seven feet above the sidewalk.

2 Ms. Brescia: Makes a motion to approve

option one for Application 06-80 as submitted

3 and verify seventeen foot measurement and sign

should be only three quarters of that

4 dimension. Explains if an awning were to go up

it has to be at the seven foot and everything

5 taken down and wall has to be repaired.

6 Ms. Uhle: Explains applicants must clean

up and repair the facade before the new sign is

7 installed.

8 Mr. McIntyre: Seconds motion.

APPLICATION 06-73, ALL RISK MANAGERS

12 Mr. Reischenberg: Dave Reischenberg,

Sign-o-rama. States applicant wanted to do a

13 framed aluminum background with three

dimensional letters. Explains on the original

14 drawings applicant wanted gold letters with a

brown background, the applicant changed his

15 mind and now wants silver letters with a blue

background.

Ms. Raffiani: Asks if black around the

17 letters is just a shadow on the mock up.

18 Mr. Reischenberg: Explains he wanted to

give it a three dimensional look.

Ms. Raffiani: Asks if there is any black

20 underneath.

21 Mr. Reischenberg: States no black

underneath.

Ms. Brescia: Explains they would like it

23 to compliment the sign next door. Asks if

going back to the gold letters would be an

24 option.

25 Mr. Reischenberg: Feels applicant would

be open to gold on the blue. Believes

2 applicant would be acceptable to that.

3 Ms. Uhle: Suggests Board approve sign

with the gold and blue and if applicant doesn't

4 like it he could come back. States when light

box is removed any necessary repairs and clean

5 up needs to be done before new sign is put on.

6 Ms. Brescia: Makes a motion to approve

Application 06-73 as submitted except for

7 changing the letters and the frame to a gold

color so that wherever they show silver it will

8 be gold.

9 Mr. McIntyre: Seconds motion.

14 Mr. Hadden: Kevin Hadden, San Signs.

15 Ms. Brescia: Asks if there was any

thought of putting an awning up on this.

Mr. Hadden: States there is currently an

17 existing awning frame in this location but when

they remove that they would rather not put back

18 an awning they would rather go with a sign with

the external illumination.

19

Ms. Brescia: Asks for a sample of the

20 blue.

21 Mr. Hadden: Shows sample.

22 Ms. Brescia: Feels it's a bright blue.
