Ms. Uhle: States Ms. Bonasia will not be

APPLICATION 08-20, 12 ALTA DRIVE
15 Mr. Ambrosio: Frank Ambrosio, architect.
Explains this is an enclosed porch and side
16 addition to an existing house. Explains they
are trying to match what's there but some will
17 be changed. States existing is aluminum
siding. Explains they are trying to change it
18 to a vinyl siding. Shows sample of siding.

Ms. Rivera: Rebecca Rivera, Joseph
22 Crocco Architects representing the applicant.
Explains this is an oversized lot in an R-7.5
23 zone. States they are proposing to demolish
the existing residence and construct a new
24 singe family residence. States new single
family residence will consist of one car
25 garage, five bedrooms, three and a half baths.

residence. Shows drawing. States they put
2 together a landscape plan. Shows back. States
they will have an open patio. Shows finishes.
4 Ms. Raffiani: Asks if they considered
putting a two car garage on this house.
Ms. Rivera: Explains they currently
6 don't even have a garage.
7 The Chairman: Makes a motion to open the
public hearing on Application 08-24.
Ms. Raffiani: Seconds motion.
Mrs. Gizmano: Mrs. Gizmano, 3 Hanfling
11 Road. Asks if this house meets the height and
width requirements. Feels house looks very
12 large. States a concern about water and the
in-ground pool. Explains she and the other
13 neighbors have a water problem because her and
the other houses are low. States if this house
14 is still on the main footprint she has no
The Chairman: States this is all as of
17 Mr. Wong: Mr. Wong, 5 Hanfling Road on
the right-hand side of this. States there are
18 six houses on the block that are all very small
cape cods. Explains they are almost half the
19 height of this new building to be put up.
Feels this is out of character with this
20 street. Explains they have a high water table
in this area and feels if an in-ground pool is
21 built then the water is more serious unless
they have some kind of installation to direct
22 water to another area. Asks if the height and
width of building comply with zoning.
The Chairman: Explain this is all as of
25 Ms. Uhle: Explains the Planning and
Building department are very concerned about

drainage issues so the applicant will be
2 required to do a detailed engineering analysis
so that they can manager the storm water on
3 their own property. States if they can't do
that then they won't be allowed to construct
4 the pool. Explains it's not this board that
evaluates that, it's the Planning Board, which
5 will be the next meeting, and also the Building
Department. States she will look into this.
6 Explains they comply with zoning, they are at
the maximum permitted size.
Ms. Raffiani: Asks that they show the
8 residents where they are proposing to put the
Ms. Rivera: Shows location of dry wells.
Ms. Raffiani: Asks if that exists now.
Mr. McIntyre: States that's a lot of dry
14 Ms. Raffiani: Explains they are
installing dry wells that do not exist now.
Mr. Wong: Asks if pool complies with

18 Mr. McIntyre: Explains they have to have
a fence around the house also.
Ms. Rivera: Shows location of fence.
The Chairman: States fence will not be a
21 chain link fence, it will be a much nicer
Ms. Raffiani: Asks that they bring the
23 cut for the fence to the Planning Board.
24 The Chairman: States a concern about the
facade. Feels the house is still very heavy
25 looking with the heavy quoins and banding.

Ms. Raffiani: Feels if this home was
2 done in a hardy plank or different material it
would fit into the neighborhood so much better.
The Chairman: Feels it is so square.
4 Feels the stucco makes it flat. Feels it is
not in keeping with the neighborhood and such a

smaller, quaint neighborhood.

doors. Asks if this is a one family house or

The Chairman: Indicates there is a door
14 that goes into the kitchen and a large one
going out the back, but not a second front
16 Ms. Uhle: Explains a two family home
would not be permitted and there are a series
17 of inspections throughout the whole
construction process so they can feel pretty
18 secure it will not be a two family.
19 Mr. Wong: States a concern about the
brick pavement. Feels water will spill over to
20 the other lawns. Explains his house and the
other four houses are lower to the ground than
21 this house. States they all have green lawns
