APPLICATION 06-92, 112 LIONS ROAD

14

15

Ms. Uhle: Explains this is a modest

16 addition to an existing single family

residence. States application appeared before

17 ARB earlier this month. States ARB had two

comments, two of which the applicant did comply

18 with and two which applicant may not have

agreed with. Explains ARB asked applicant to

19 reconsider the semi circular window in the

upper right-hand front elevation and that has

20 remained. States ARB also suggested to

consider adjusting the roof lines to better

21 integrate the left side and right side of the

front elevation.

22 Architect: Explains he did try to

address that, but this building was done in

23 three stages. Explains it used to be a little

cape at one time, then they put a shed roof on

24 the left side and right side and it did not go

to the ridge. Explains it was impossible to

25 combine the roofs and also to get a center

symmetrical look as in a colonial. Explains

11 The Chairman: States item one from the

ARB was to add elements of interest to the

13 Ms. Uhle: Shows window that was added to

the front elevation. States second comment was

14 to add roof plan to show how the roof pitches

and applicant did provide that.

15

The Chairman: Asks if half round on top

16 of the window is glazed.

17 Architect: States yes.

18 Mr. Cermele: Asks if they will add

lights to the existing windows.

19

Architect: States existing windows do

20 not have lights.

21 The Chairman: Asks if any of the

existing windows on the side elevation have

22 grids.

23 Architect: States they do not have

grids.

24

The Chairman: Asks if they are adding

25 grids to those windows.

DINA M. MORGAN, REPORTER

4

1

Architect: States no.

2

The Chairman: Feels then the circle

3 window up top should not have grids. Asks if

they are using the snap in grids.

4

Architect: States Anderson windows now

5 have interior grids.

6 Mr. Cermele: States he has no problem

with the circle top window.

7

The Chairman: Asks if there is any

8 change in curb cuts or driveways.

9 Architect: States no.

10 Ms. Uhle: Explains this is a modest

three hundred square foot addition to an

11 existing house.

12 The Chairman: Suggests if they want to

put mutton bars on the upper and lower sash on

13 the window, put it so it creates a square

pattern, as opposed to three over three do two

14 over two so it relates to the center of the

half circle. States that's the applicant's

15 choice.

16 Ms. Cascione: Makes a motion to approve

Application 06-92, 112 Lions Road.

17

Mr. Cermele: Seconds motion.

18

(All aye.)

19

The Chairman: States they will hold the

20 approval of the minutes of the September and

October meetings until the January meeting when

21 there is a full board. States the one item

that was adjourned from this evening,

22 Application 06-97, 116 Lake Shore Drive, will

be on the agenda next period.

23

Ms. Uhle: States she is not sure what

24 the status is.
