September is Library Card sign-up month!

 

This September, Eastchester Public Library joins the American Library Association and libraries nationwide for Library Card sign-up month. It's a time to remind parents and students that a library card is the first step towards lifelong learning, opening a world of possibilities through resources and services.

 

Any new patrons who sign up during the month of September will receive a free EPL key chain for their library card tag.

 

In addition, our Children's Librarians will be at the schools on the following dates to facilitate sign up for the children: Greenvale School: Wednesday, 9/11 @ 7:00 pm, Waverly School: Thursday, 9/12 @ 7:00 pm and Anne Hutchinson School: Thursday, 9/19 @ 7:00 pm. "Managing Your Career in Changing Times"

Wednesday, September 25th @ 12:00 pm

 

The work world is changing....do you need a plan for what's next for you? This free 8-week seminar will be conducted by a professional career counselor. Adults in career transition will go through a formal assessment and learn how to use information to explore career options in a high-tech world and become familiar with the latest trends in resumes and job search.

 

This seminar is geared towards those who are unemployed, changing careers, re-entering the work force or returning to school. 

 

The orientation date is 9/25 and sessions 1-8 are 10/2, 10/10, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6, 11/13 and 11/20. Classes will be held from 12:00 pm- 2:00 pm.
