Parking on Scarsdale Avenue

There are a total of 123 parking spaces on Scarsdale Avenue between Lee Avenue and the Scarsdale border (Parking Meter SC-24).  This stretch of road provides a variety of parking options; short term metered parking for shoppers, long term metered parking for commuters and permit parking for residents and businesses of the neighborhood.  A section of long term metered parking for commuters has been set aside for the exclusive use of Eastchester residents (permit required).

Two hour meters – 31 meters provide shoppers with short term parking at $.25 for 15 minutes.  There is a 2 hour limit for the short term meters.

Long Term Commuter Parking -   71 meters provide commuters with long term parking at $.25 for 40 minutes, 12 hour limit.

            -           27 Long Term Commuter Parking Meters are designated for Eastchester Residents – a $5.00 per year permit is necessary.  The spaces are available on a first come, first served basis – meter fees apply.

            -           44 Long Term Commuter Parking Meters are available for both residents and non-residents. No permit is required.

Municipal Permit Parking – There are 20 non-metered Municipal Permit Parking Spaces.  Permits are $45.00 a month and are obtained in the Town Clerk’s Office. Parking in these spaces is enforced 24 hours a day.  There is currently a waiting list for a permit.

A handicap parking permit is required at parking space SC-117.  All meter fees apply.
