Sidewalk construction stretching from Oak Ridge Place to Parsons Place was recently completed.Metered parking spacing along that same sidewalk have been restored.Curbing and sidewalk construction has started from Parsons Place continuing up to the Gulf Gas Station. The construction of the designated right hand turn lane going from Mill Road turning North on Route 22, as well as the building of the pedestrian island in the same vicinity, has started.Sidewalk construction on Route 22 will then continue from the corner of Mill Road to Crest Avenue.During this phase of the job, please note the traffic pattern; there is one lane going North on Route 22.
The transfer of the utility services from overhead to underground was anticipated for mid July. However, due to scheduling conflicts with the utility companies, we are now hoping that the transfer will take place within the next few weeks.Once the transfer is made, the current utility poles will be removed and the bulminite strip will be installed in those areas, completing the sidewalk stretching from Route 22 to Michael Frey Place.
As always, thank you for your patience during construction.
