While we are a small department with only six staff members, we are fortunate to have a highly competent team that has several decades of combined experience with matters related to building, construction, planning and code enforcement. 

Our goal is to always work with the community as efficiently as possible to resolve issues that are brought to our attention. Since we are a small office that is only staffed during hours when Town Hall is open (Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) we depend on our community members to be our “eyes and ears” when it comes to reporting issues that impact our community. This is especially the case during hours when our office is closed, since we are unable to respond until we re-open on the next business day.

If you witness unsafe conditions or code violations which must be responded to immediately when our offices are closed, you should contact the Eastchester Police Department because they are staffed 24 hours a day. The Police Department will then share your communication with our Code Enforcement Officer who can follow-up during business hours. The phone number for the Police Department is 914-961-3464.
