 RESIDENTIAL FOOD SCRAP RECYCLING

Residential Food Scrap Recycling -  A 24/7 Food Scrap Recycling Drop-off is available for TOWN RESIDENTS at the dead end of Farella Way.  This program is Residential use only, NOT for Commercial use.  This voluntary program involves separating food scraps from your household trash.  For sanitary purposes food scraps must be placed within a compostable BPI Certified bag purchased by the resident from local retailer.  BPI certified bags are available for purchase ($4.00) at the Town Clerk's office located at 40 Mill Road.

Please visit the Highway Department Page on this site for guidelines and regulations on how to recycle food scraps. Questions should be addressed to the Highway Department at 914-961-8540.
