Zoning Board of Appeals

The Eastchester Zoning Board of Appeals meets every month, typically on the second Tuesday.  Meetings begin at 7 p.m.  and are always open to the public. All applications for variances require at least two meetings.  Typically an applicant will make a presentation at the first meeting (as well as subsequent meetings if additional presentations are required).  Once the presentation is completed and the public hearing is closed, the Board members deliberate and vote on a resolution to grant or deny the application at the next meeting.

There are generally no meetings in July or August or December, although meetings are sometimes held in July and December to vote on resolutions only.

We advise you to check the calendar since meeting dates are occasionally shifted to accommodate holidays, religious observances, etc. that could impact the ability of the public to participate in the meetings.
